CAMDEN, NJ. On Monday, February 6th, representatives from Susquehanna Bank presented Rev. Floyd White of the Woodland Community Development Corporation (WCDC) with a check for $2,000 to support Your Food Shelf food pantry’s Campaign Against Hunger. Your Food Shelf, an affiliate of WCDC, launched the campaign to raise money to match a challenge grant from the Community Foundation of South Jersey (CFSJ). Susquehanna Bank’s donation helped Your Food Shelf meet its fundraising goal of $6,000 which will be matched with an additional $3,000 by CFSJ. The funds will be used to provide emergency food bags to needy families & seniors in the greater Camden area.
“Susquehanna is proud to support the critical work being done by Woodland CDC,” said Ellen Crain, VP & CRA Director. “We know the need is greater now than ever before; we’re thankful as a community bank that groups like Woodland exist in our communities to help people who are food insecure.” Susquehanna also recently conducted a “virtual” food drive called Tweet 2 Feed, which garnered almost $60,000 for food banks that supply local programs such as Woodland CDC.
